3D World Atlas
Between paper maps and fancy spinning desk globes there was the digital atlas. 3D World Atlas is one such offering, though it’s fairly basic. You get a basic physical map of the globe, complete with cities and basic markers (like airports), but even on the highest zoom level the product fails to deliver on sharp details. Side attractions include basic overviews of each country. All of it is decent, but you get a much more comprehensive geographic database with just about any Encarta release. Also there’s Google Maps.
